[AWH Classic] Fear of Falling

“I’m not scared of heights; I’m scared of falling.” Somehow that seems like an appropriate caption for my life right now.

Red Riding Hood's mother warned her about the patriarchy.

Jared Wilson and the politics of forgiveness

To be honest, responses like this are part of why I can’t trust liberal evangelicalism or Christian egalitarianism as a culture. There’s still a lot of reluctance even from evangelicals who oppose abusive and exclusionary theology to clearly and fully name it for what it is.

Kiri Introduces Herself

Kiri Introduces Herself

Content notes/TW: spiritual abuse, anti-trans prejudice, transmisogyny, family rejection  I make an effort to consider many perspectives in my writing, but that’s no substitute for people telling their own stories. This is part of why I’m so excited to have Kiri on board as a contributor to AWH. Kiri will [...]

Doing things right

Above all things

Only day 4 of NaBloPoMo (or NaBloWriMo if you prefer), and I’m already having to write my first post that isn’t pre-scheduled or closely edited. Well, the idea was to get me to write more spontaneously and get my thoughts out quickly, so I guess it’s working! Anyone else doing Nano/nablowrimo [...]
